The Forward Deployed Engineer designs, builds, deploys, and operationalizes enterprise AI and data solutions with client stakeholders and engineering teams.
The role combines software engineering, data discovery, solution architecture, rapid prototyping, and production ownership.
Responsibilities
- Design AI and data applications and scalable batch, real-time, and streaming pipelines.
- Build Claude-powered copilots and workflows using RAG, vector databases, semantic search, and agentic AI.
- Profile data, prototype with client data and APIs, validate solutions, and prepare them for production.
- Implement CI/CD, automated testing, deployment automation, MLOps/LLMOps, monitoring, rollback, and production support.
- Apply responsible AI, security, privacy, governance, traceability, and human oversight controls.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, evaluate model quality, manage incidents, optimize services, and measure business impact.
- Develop reusable architectures, standards, runbooks, and playbooks; conduct workshops and demonstrations; mentor teams and transfer knowledge.
Required experience
- 10–14 years in data engineering, AI application development, cloud data platforms, APIs, and production-grade software engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, REST APIs, and FastAPI.
- Experience with Claude, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, semantic search, agentic AI, and MLOps/LLMOps.
- Experience with MLflow, CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, and distributed data processing.
- Knowledge of data pipelines, data quality, cloud platforms, enterprise security, privacy, governance, and production reliability.
- Experience in BFSI environments and understanding of regulatory and resilience requirements.
- Strong client-facing consulting, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and technical presentation skills.
