Design and build scalable, high-performance backend applications.
The role focuses on building systems from scratch rather than maintaining legacy code.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Architect event-driven systems using Apache Kafka.
- Own modules from design through production deployment.
- Write clean, testable code with JUnit coverage.
- Participate in system design and code reviews.
- Work in a fast-paced Agile product environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of core Java backend experience.
- Strong Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST API experience.
- Experience with distributed systems and multithreading/concurrency.
- Strong data structures and algorithms fundamentals.
- Kafka experience preferred.
- Comfort with JUnit and unit testing.
- A builder mindset: designed and built systems rather than only maintaining them.
- BE/BTech in any stream.
Preferred experience
- Product company background is a plus.
- Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS exposure are nice to have.
- Active participation on HackerRank or LeetCode is a plus.
Compensation
- Pay is ₹2,000,000 to ₹3,500,000 per year.
Workplace
- Hybrid remote work in Chennai, Tamil Nadu; Chennai location is required.
