Lead and develop specialist operational teams responsible for asset servicing across the investment lifecycle.
Combine strategic oversight with hands-on leadership to maintain service quality, manage risk and improve operational processes and controls.
The role can be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Key responsibilities
- Lead operational teams across asset onboarding, trading, settlements, confirmations, corporate actions and distributions.
- Ensure timely, high-quality processing and consistently strong customer outcomes.
- Balance strategic planning with hands-on operational oversight.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for complex issues, exceptions and risks.
- Analyse MI, KPIs, workflow and case-level data to identify trends and emerging risks.
- Provide operational MI and commentary to senior stakeholders.
- Review incidents and risk events, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain robust operational processes, controls and procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement and greater efficiency.
- Contribute to Consumer Duty workstreams to address potential harms, frictions and barriers in asset servicing journeys.
- Demonstrate the organisation’s values, customer focus, collaboration, ownership and compliance with its Code of Conduct.
About you
- Experience in Financial Services administration, preferably in asset servicing, and proven experience in an operational management environment.
- Expert understanding of asset servicing domains, including trading, settlements, corporate actions or asset data.
- Subject matter expertise in servicing multiple asset types, including funds, equities, bonds and cash products.
- Demonstrable leadership and relationship management experience, influencing operational performance.
- Understanding of excellent service and how to deliver positive customer outcomes.
