Job Description
Parsons is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join its team in Qatar.
The role leads supervision of instrumentation, control, and automation works on a major roads, infrastructure, and drainage programme.
The programme includes pump stations, attenuation tanks, rising mains, drainage networks, and associated PLC, SCADA, HMI, monitoring, protection, and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead consultant-side supervision across two work packages, with particular responsibility for pumping-station systems.
- Review contractor shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, method statements, inspection and test plans, control philosophies, cause-and-effect documents, and technical submissions.
- Supervise installation, interfacing, testing, and commissioning of field instruments across pumps, mains, tanks, chambers, and associated infrastructure.
- Verify level, flow, pressure, vibration, conductivity, monitoring, and protection devices.
- Review PLC, SCADA, and HMI architecture, panels, input and output schedules, communications, alarms, interlocks, data logging, and reporting requirements.
- Verify hardwired and software interlocks for pump protection and safe operation.
