Parsons is hiring a Geotechnical Inspector in Abu Dhabi, UAE, for construction inspection and quality control activities.
The role includes field inspection, testing, documentation, and coordination to support construction supervision and project handover.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with clients and contractor staff to confirm project requirements; prepare inspection reports and site records.
- Perform soil compaction, moisture, aggregate gradation, concrete slump, air entrainment, compression, lines and grades, bolt torque, and concrete coring tests.
- Inspect construction labor and subcontracted work for workmanship; verify equipment alignment and balancing.
- Inspect civil materials delivered to site, report quantity and technical compliance, and sign off material inspection requests.
- Prepare inspection documentation, maintain complete work records, and monitor quality control procedures.
- Communicate site progress and coordinate work through project handover.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Geological Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of civil or geotechnical inspection experience in land development construction works.
- Knowledge and experience using Flaxis, GeoStudio, or Slide software.
Desired skills
- GCC experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical ability and capacity to work independently.
- Good oral and written communication, including clear communication with management and staff.
- Ability to handle physical field work and commitment to safe work practices.
