Senior Implementation Engineer (Applications, Networks, Infra, and Cloud Experience)/ Airport & Airline Experience is a Must

Role overview

Implementation and delivery

• Implement, configure, integrate, test, and support airport and airline solutions across applications, networks, servers, infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud.
• Translate requirements into implementation plans and coordinate integrations with connected systems and services.
• Own requirements clarification, installation, configuration, testing, go-live readiness, deployment, and transition to support.
• Coordinate customer go-live and resolve post-deployment defects, omissions, and operational issues until support transition is complete.

Customer and project coordination

• Use airport-domain knowledge to advise customers on effective product use and operational improvements.
• Act as the on-site technical and functional customer focal point, representing delivery when a project manager is not on site.
• Track actions, dependencies, risks, and issues with teams and customers; escalate material impacts to project deliverables.
• Monitor solution performance and customer usage and connect identified improvement needs with relevant SITA teams.

Documentation and improvement

• Maintain technical documentation, implementation records, configurations, and handover materials to SITA standards.
• Apply lessons learned, improve implementation methods, and share technical and functional knowledge.

Experience and technical qualifications

• At least five years of relevant implementation and support experience across infrastructure platforms, application deployments, or integrated systems and project lifecycles.
• Mandatory airport technology implementation experience and understanding of airport and airline operations, workflows, and system interdependencies.
• Hands-on knowledge across networking, Microsoft infrastructure, servers, applications, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and security; exposure to Cisco and Palo Alto environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and coordinate root-cause resolution; understanding of governance, risk, change control, testing, go-live, and support transition.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification; Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines are preferred.

Delivery and interpersonal qualifications

• Practical project-delivery awareness and customer-facing coordination skills; this is not a dedicated project-management role.
• Customer focus, clear communication, accountability, planning, prioritization, and continuous-improvement mindset.
• Project-management methods or certification and technical certifications such as CCNA, Cisco, Microsoft, cloud, or security credentials are nice-to-haves.

Work arrangement and travel

• The role is expected to be split approximately 50% between the SITA office and customer sites.
• Travel of up to 25% may be required for projects outside Doha, primarily within the MEA region.
