Senior Front-End Developer, Web Experimentation

The Role

Front-End Engineering

• Build production features with Next.js, Sanity, React, and TypeScript while supporting WordPress, PHP, and Twig environments.
• Extend shared component libraries and design systems.
• Own Core Web Vitals, accessible markup, and fast, resilient page loads.
• Integrate APIs and structured content across headless and traditional CMS architectures.
• Write well-tested code and drive consistent engineering practices through code review.

AI-Assisted Workflow

• Use AI coding tools, agents, and AI-assisted IDEs to accelerate development while maintaining quality and reliability.
• Improve MCP integrations, prompts, and context so tickets, content, and codebases are AI-ready.
• Help define, benchmark, and document team standards for AI-assisted development.

Experimentation and Growth

• Architect and execute complex A/B and multivariate experiments across marketing flows.
• Partner with CRO leads and data analysts to create statistically sound and performant test variants.
• Improve experimentation velocity, minimize flicker, ensure rendering accuracy, and reduce time from hypothesis to live variant.
• Support SEO, LLM, and AI-search initiatives through structured data, performance, and rendering foundations.

Technical Leadership

• Set technical patterns and direction through pragmatic engineering decisions.
• Mentor and coach front-end developers and uphold engineering principles.
• Partner with the Engineering Manager on technical standards, code quality, and architecture.
• Improve the stack, tooling, processes, and team documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Expert front-end expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, accessibility, and web performance is required.
• Hands-on experience with complex A/B, multivariate, and personalized experiments is required.
• Experience with experimentation or feature flag platforms and product analytics tools is required.
• Strong experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, modern rendering, design systems, and component libraries is required.
• Experience with Sanity or another headless CMS alongside WordPress, PHP, and Twig is required.
• Hands-on AI-assisted development experience and strong collaboration and communication are required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Back-end or full-stack familiarity is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with designers in Figma is a plus.

Location

• The role is open to candidates based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo.

Compensation

• The stated annual salary range is $121,000 minimum, $142,200 midpoint, and $163,600 maximum.
• Additional compensation may include equity, health and wellness stipends, retirement savings matching, extended health coverage, and professional development support.
