Role overview
Senior individual-contributor role on Jobber's Web Strategy team, building and improving getjobber.com as a growth engine.
Work primarily with Next.js, Sanity, React, and TypeScript in a headless, composable architecture.
Set technical patterns, mentor developers, and influence standards without people-management responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Ship marketing and feature pages, including conversion-critical pricing surfaces.
- Improve shared UI components, performance, accessibility, code quality, and API/CMS integrations.
- Use and improve AI-assisted development workflows, including MCP tooling, prompts, and team standards.
- Build experiments and support CRO, SEO, LLM, and AI-search initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product engineers and stakeholders; mentor developers and improve engineering practices.
Requirements
- Expert HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, accessibility, and web performance skills, with several years building production applications.
- Strong Next.js and React experience and required experience building content-driven sites with a headless CMS.
- Hands-on AI-assisted development experience and comfort integrating APIs and services.
- Full-stack background is highly preferred; experimentation, analytics, design-system, cross-team, or Figma experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, adaptability, and technical mentoring skills.
Location
- Candidates must be based in Edmonton, Toronto, Vancouver, or Kitchener-Waterloo.
- The employer notes that some collaboration occurs in person; no specific remote or hybrid policy is stated.
Compensation
- Annual base salary range is $125,715 to $170,085, with a midpoint of $147,900.
- Total compensation includes equity, health and wellness stipends, retirement savings matching, and extended health coverage.
