Senior FM Consultant

Role purpose

Technical knowledge

• Hard and soft FM services, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, housekeeping, pest control, landscaping, waste management, and support services.
• Relevant standards and practices include SFG20, NFPA, SBC, ASHRAE, CIBSE, and BICSc.
• Knowledge of statutory compliance, O&M requirements, asset management, and FM performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Guide clients and service providers on hard and soft services; manage multidisciplinary project teams and identify service-delivery gaps.
• Manage provider performance, technical guidance, gap analysis, O&M monitoring, training, and cost control.
• Lead asset surveys and support replacement-cost estimates, tender documents, document reviews, inspections, testing and commissioning, and asset handover.
• Develop FM policies, procedures, operational plans, and client documentation; evaluate technical and commercial submissions.
• Manage VVIP sites, maintain FM operations and maintenance standards, and develop client-aligned FM strategies.
• Build client relationships, deliver tailored solutions, and train clients and provider staff.
• Assess facilities and service performance; support compliance, safety protocols, emergency response, energy savings, sustainability, and cost optimization.
• Prepare reports, presentations, gap analyses, and recommendations; advise clients on facility operations, maintenance, and management.

Experience and education

• At least 10 years of Middle East facilities management experience, including at least 3 years in consultancy, FMMA, client representation, or service-provider management.
• Experience with VVIP clients, high-profile facilities, multidisciplinary teams, service providers, audits, inspections, performance monitoring, and multiple projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• PMP, CFM, FMP, or equivalent certification is preferred depending on client or project requirements.
• Related certifications may include ISO 41001, ISO 55001, ISO 9001 auditor, NEBOSH/IOSH, BICSc, LEED GA, or other FM-related credentials.
• Good professional English for reports and client communication; IELTS 5.5–6 or equivalent is preferred.
