Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Accounting, the Senior Financial Analyst produces financial analysis and reporting for senior management, shareholders, the Board of Directors, and lenders.
The role supports strategic decisions and helps maintain accurate financial records and communicate accounting policies.
Responsibilities
- Prepare executive-level financial reports, presentations, and dashboards.
- Analyze variances and costs, identifying trends, risks, and savings opportunities.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual statutory financial statements.
- Support year-end audits with documentation.
- Document and communicate accounting policies.
- Assist with corporate tax and insurance matters.
- Improve accounting processes, efficiency, and internal controls.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and CPA designation.
- Fluency in English and French; the role communicates with people outside Quebec.
- At least five years of experience, including experience in an accounting firm.
- Strong accounting knowledge, including GAAP for private enterprise, consolidation, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret financial data and trends.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; Microsoft D365 Business experience is preferable.
