Senior Financial Analyst

Job Purpose

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop financial models and conduct quantitative analysis.
• Analyze actual revenues and costs and prepare periodic root-cause variance reports for management.
• Identify process improvements with finance stakeholders and business teams.
• Conduct ad hoc revenue and cost analysis for Finance management.
• Develop and report business KPIs regularly.
• Align financial accounting reporting with corporate and finance definitions.
• Optimize route profitability, financial accounting, and management reporting processes where applicable.
• Review annual budgets against management strategies and targets.
• Control spend, support cost-of-sale targets, and recommend measures.
• Review revenue-growth and cost-reduction business cases, including CMC submissions.
• Review contracts and agreements for financial compliance.
• Consolidate and analyze departmental financial results during monthly reporting and annual budgeting.

About You

• A high school, vocational, or diploma qualification with at least 5 years of job-related experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of job-related experience, is required.
• Experience as a financial analyst is required; airline-industry experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are required.
• The role requires English fluency, strong computer skills, independent working ability, and confidentiality.

Required Technical Skills

• Required computer skills include Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Access, and PowerPoint.
• The role requires the ability to analyze variances, interpret data, and understand business-cycle impacts on profit and loss.

Preferred Skills

• Good knowledge of internal finance systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of cost centre accounting and preparing budgets and forecasts is preferred.
