Senior Engineer (Transportation)

AtkinsRéalis one of the world’s leading providers of engineering professional consulting and support services with offices across Ireland.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with relevant experience in planning and design of transport projects. The candidate will join our growing Transportation business and will be based in our Dublin or Dundalk office. The candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard working, flexible, willing to take on responsibility and comfortable working as part of a team.

Relevant experience in a consultancy and/or construction environment.

Educated to degree level in engineering (Level 8/9).

Chartered Engineer, or close to attaining Chartership.

Computer literate and with experience of relevant design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads etc desirable but not mandatory).

Strong knowledge of relevant design standard and ability to translate this knowledge into practical, buildable and value for money designs.

Experience in the management, planning and design of transportation schemes (preferably in Ireland) including feasibility studies, preliminary and detailed design, statutory processes, preparation of contract documents, contact administration, construction supervision and commercial management..

Ability to lead and manage design teams.

A willingness to develop and build client relationships.

Experience in the development of tender proposals, leading bids and winning new commissions.
