Senior Engineer - Rocket Propulsion

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test rocket propulsion systems through performance validation, applying thermodynamic, fluid-dynamic, and structural principles.
• Lead propulsion projects, technical interfaces, design reviews, and verification activities to deliver milestones on time and within budget.
• Define system requirements and maintain technical baselines and configuration control.
• Mentor entry-level engineers, review technical outputs, and support knowledge transfer.
• Support manufacturing processes and non-conformance resolution; advise on PLM implementation and data integrity.
• Prepare and review drawings, specifications, test reports, and interface control documents to customer and regulatory standards.
• Communicate engineering challenges to stakeholders and flag risks across disciplines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• At least 10 years of rocket propulsion development experience.
• Experience developing and producing Solid Rocket Motor data packs and developing solid propellant rocket motors for missile applications.
• Broad mechanical engineering knowledge related to propulsion development and manufacturing; thorough understanding of propulsion product development, production, and systems engineering processes.
• Strong written and oral technical communication with technical and non-technical personnel, suppliers, and customers.
• Planning, organization, problem-solving, influencing, and analytical-thinking competencies.
