Senior Engineer - Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design and operate observability services for metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, alerting, and service health using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and ELK/OpenSearch.
• Contribute to private cloud, virtualization, and container platforms based on OpenStack, Red Hat OpenShift, or related technologies.
• Build AI-powered operational agents using observability, monitoring, logging, ITSM, and platform telemetry to automate detection, analysis, workflows, and approved remediation.
• Support capacity planning, performance, upgrades, migrations, incident response, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Integrate platform management with ITSM processes and tools; collaborate across engineering, SRE, security, architecture, and operations.
• Create technical documentation, deliver knowledge-transfer sessions, and participate in on-call and critical-incident escalation.
• Improve support workflows, service onboarding, operational procedures, platform security, and governance alignment.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technology discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in private cloud, virtualization, infrastructure, observability, or platform engineering.
• Experience with at least one major cloud or virtualization platform, such as OpenStack, Proxmox, or Red Hat OpenShift, or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted operations, workflow automation, observability, and ITSM integration.
• Expert Linux administration and experience with compute, KVM, x86 hardware, hypervisors, firmware, and server lifecycle management.
• Understanding of hardware architecture, networking, and storage; experience with observability platforms and tools.
• Strong automation, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, GitOps, and scripting experience.

Relevant technologies

• Examples include Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/OpenSearch, Splunk, Zabbix, Jira, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and Opsgenie.
• Automation examples include Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Python, Go, and Bash.
• Knowledge of security monitoring, SIEM, compliance, and data governance is an advantage.
