Senior Software Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable Python microservices and RESTful/gRPC APIs for cloud-native Azure deployment.
• Optimize concurrency, caching, resource use, and distributed-system performance.
• Design SQL and NoSQL schemas and data consistency and migration patterns.
• Lead GenAI backend work involving RAG, vector databases, and LLM orchestration.
• Build service resilience with circuit breakers, rate limits, and graceful degradation.
• Implement logs, distributed tracing, and metrics with Prometheus, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
• Partner with DevOps on IaC and CI/CD integration for zero-downtime deployments.
• Apply OAuth2/OIDC, encryption, and secure API gateway practices.
• Lead design reviews, coding standards, and mentoring; collaborate with Product and DevOps on architecture.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of hands-on backend development.
• Strong Python and backend framework experience, including FastAPI and Flask.
• Expertise in REST APIs, microservices, and distributed architecture.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL knowledge, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Hands-on Azure and cloud-native development experience.
• Knowledge of scalability, caching, concurrency, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, containerized deployments, system architecture, message queues, and event-driven systems.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code tools.

Preferred qualifications

• Azure cloud or AI application development certification is preferred.
• Hybrid cloud and multicloud familiarity is preferred.
• Frontend experience with React, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, or CSS3 is a plus.
• Technical leadership and mentoring experience is preferred.
