Senior Firmware Engineer for Halcon, developing advanced firmware for mission-critical defence systems.
The role covers design, development, integration, verification, and testing of firmware solutions.
The position calls for technical leadership, mentoring, and compliance with industry and certification standards.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, integrate, and verify firmware for FPGA- and microcontroller-based embedded systems.
- Guide firmware architecture, coding standards, verification methods, and certification requirements.
- Lead technical design reviews and prepare firmware specifications and interface control documents.
- Mentor junior engineers and improve firmware processes, tools, and technology roadmaps.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of FPGA and/or microcontroller firmware development experience.
- Strong experience in firmware design, coding, verification, validation, testing, and hardware integration.
- Thorough understanding of systems engineering processes, including requirements management, design, integration, verification, certification, and configuration management.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with DO-254 firmware development standards and certification processes.
- Experience in defence, aerospace, guided munitions, or other safety-critical embedded systems environments.
Language
- English proficiency is required for all roles unless otherwise stated in the posting.
