Role summary

Duties and accountabilities

• Install and align displays, projectors, screens, and specialised audio and speaker systems; interpret drawings to plan mounting and cable routes.
• Rig structural displays and projectors safely, following load ratings and site procedures.
• Assemble, mount, link, and calibrate indoor and outdoor LED video walls.
• Build and integrate AV racks; label and manage cables; terminate structured, AV, and low-voltage cabling.
• Test and troubleshoot audio, video, and control systems before handover; support commissioning and client walkthroughs.
• Complete snag lists, QC checklists, cable schedules, as-built mark-ups, and other handover documentation.
• Assign and guide work for junior technicians and outsourced labour; verify their work quality.
• Coordinate first-fix and second-fix work with project managers, MEP contractors, and site management.
• Report daily progress, material shortfalls, and site risks; travel to project sites across the UAE.
• Deliver within budgeted man-hours, control material waste, minimize rework, and meet installation quality standards.
• Comply with site HSE, permits to work, working-at-height, and electrical safety procedures.

Minimum qualifications and experience

• Diploma or technical certification in electrical, electronics, or AV technology from a recognised institution.
• At least five years of hands-on experience installing AV and low-voltage systems, including UAE project sites.
• Proven experience leading on-site installation teams and guiding junior technicians.
• Valid UAE driving licence and own vehicle are mandatory.
• Professional rack fabrication, cable management, structured cabling termination, and structural display or projector rigging skills.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and AV schematics.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, safety-conscious, reliable, and punctual.

Desired qualifications and skills

• AVIXA CTS certification is desired.
• Experience with structural display deployments, LED video wall panel assembly, or UAE AV system integrators and LED display contractors is desired.
• LED video wall assembly, cabinet linking, and signal testing with NovaStar or similar are desired.
• Basic awareness of AV control and DSP platforms such as Crestron or Q-SYS is desired.
• Strong troubleshooting under site pressure and good team leadership are desired.
