Senior Energy Data & Modelling Analyst supporting whole-energy-system modelling and planning initiatives.

Key responsibilities
- Analyse, interpret, and manage complex energy-system datasets and ensure they are suitable for modelling.
- Support whole-energy-system model development and reconcile national, regional, and local datasets.
- Translate between modelling requirements and data requirements; collaborate with modelling, planning, and analysis stakeholders.
- Contribute to scenario modelling, forecasting, and energy planning, and provide insight into model assumptions, inputs, and outputs.
Essential experience
- Strong experience with energy-system data and modelling environments, and understanding of how datasets inform modelling and decisions.
- Knowledge of energy network data, forecasting, scenario planning, or system modelling.
- Experience in at least one relevant area: DNOs, energy consultancy, energy network modelling, LAEP, whole-energy-systems modelling, or energy forecasting and scenario modelling.
- Experience with multiple energy vectors, including examples such as electricity, gas, storage, or biomethane.
Desirable experience
- LAEP; DNO datasets and network planning; Python or other analytical/programming experience; reconciling local and national datasets; Future Energy Scenarios or net-zero modelling programmes are desirable.
