Support governance, assurance, and control environments across IT and operational technology (OT).
The role focuses on applying GRC principles and tracking control gaps through resolution, rather than technical security specialization.
Work independently across complex processes and competing assurance, compliance, and remediation priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate controls assurance and testing across IT and OT.
- Validate controls against policies, standards, and regulatory requirements; identify gaps and drive remediation.
- Oversee assurance backlogs, risks, audit observations, exceptions, and remediation plans.
- Gather compliance evidence with security, operations, engineering, and business teams.
- Coordinate internal and external audit responses and evidence collection.
- Produce governance reports and assurance metrics for senior stakeholders.
- Facilitate governance forums and risk reviews; support continuous improvement.
Essential experience and skills
- Experience in GRC, assurance, audit, controls, or oversight.
- Understanding of IT and/or OT security and technology controls; experience with control testing, compliance assessments, or audits.
- Ability to analyze processes, identify weaknesses, and manage actions, findings, risks, and remediation.
- Strong stakeholder communication, policy interpretation, independence, organization, and attention to detail.
Desirable experience
- Experience in critical infrastructure, utilities, energy, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with OT security, industrial control systems, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, IEC 62443, NIS Regulations, or similar.
- Experience with GRC, audit, risk, or compliance-management tools.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent professional experience in information security, risk management, business management, technology, or a related discipline.
- CRISC, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, CISSP, or equivalent certifications are advantageous but not essential.
Contract and rate
- Contract role at £447 per day, inside IR35.
Workplace
- Hybrid 50/50 arrangement in Gallows Hill, Warwick.
