Job Purpose
Lead the development and execution of SOPC’s enterprise technology strategy, ensuring that digital solutions, IT operations, and quality & compliance frameworks effectively enable organizational performance, service reliability, and secure information management.
The role oversees the delivery, integration, and continuous improvement of applications, infrastructure, and IT service management to support SOPC with scalable, resilient, and user-centric technology services.
The Senior Director drives innovation, governance, vendor performance, and cross-functional coordination to ensure that IT capabilities meet current and future operational and strategic needs.
It Strategy
- Develop and implement the IT strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, operational requirements, and long-term digital transformation goals.
- Oversee the planning, design, and enhancement of digital solutions, ensuring that applications, systems, and platforms address business needs and optimize the user experience.
- Drive technology adoption across SOPC by enabling integration, interoperability, and standardization of systems.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and innovation opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, data utilization, and digital capabilities.
- Lead annual IT road-mapping activities, ensuring investment prioritization, resource alignment, and structured delivery of technology initiatives.
It Operations
- Oversee IT operations, including service desk, infrastructure management, networks, hosting environments, and data centers to ensure reliability, uptime, and performance.
- Establish and maintain IT service management processes covering incident, change, and problem management, ensuring timely resolution and operational continuity.
- Guide capacity management, system monitoring, and performance optimization initiatives to support organizational growth and scalability.
- Ensure efficient management of IT assets, licensing, and hardware/software lifecycle processes.
- Oversee outsourced service providers and managed services contracts, defining service expectations and monitoring SLA performance.
Digital Solutions Delivery
- Work closely with Digital Transformation on the development, configuration, enhancement, and support of enterprise applications and digital platforms, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Ensure effective governance for requirements gathering, functional design, testing, deployment, and change control for all IT-enabled initiatives.
- Guide integrations across systems through APIs and data exchange mechanisms, supporting workflow automation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Monitor application performance, user adoption, and issue trends, implementing corrective and preventive measures to optimize service quality.
It Quality & Compliance
- Oversee implementation of IT quality standards, policies, frameworks, and continuous improvement practices to ensure consistency across systems and processes.
- Ensure organizational adherence to cybersecurity policies, data protection requirements, and national digital regulations by coordinating with Cybersecurity & GRC teams.
- Lead periodic compliance assessments, system audits, and control testing to identify gaps, recommend remediation, and strengthen system integrity.
Other Accountabilities
- Serve as the primary IT counterpart to business leaders, ensuring alignment of technology services with the operational needs of SOPC.
- Provide executive-level updates, insights, and recommendations to SOPC leadership to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.
