DevOps responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code to provision, configure, and scale resources reliably.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using scripting and configuration-management tools.
- Integrate testing, security, and deployment processes with development, QA, and operations teams.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
- Implement and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and container orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Enforce security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster-recovery strategies.
- Maintain infrastructure, deployment, and incident-response documentation.
- Evaluate tools and methods to improve DevOps practices.
Team and organizational responsibilities
- Support regulatory compliance and organizational transparency.
- Collaborate with colleagues toward shared team objectives and provide regular performance updates.
- Document issues and challenges to support timely resolution.
- Take ownership, meet deadlines, and deliver work to cost and quality standards.
- Coordinate across departments and stakeholders, communicate clearly, and support colleagues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in software development, system administration, or IT operations.
- Familiarity with Bash or Python scripting and basic automation techniques.
- Experience with Git and understanding of CI/CD concepts.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP and containerization technologies such as Docker.
- Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Helm.
- Familiarity with configuration-management tools.
- Basic networking, security best practices, and system monitoring skills.
- Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and learn DevOps tools and methods.
