Bridge development and operations to keep enterprise applications and IT infrastructure highly available, secure, scalable, and reliably automated.
Translate platform and infrastructure needs into resilient, repeatable operational outcomes across delivery, reliability, and lifecycle management.
Core Responsibilities
- Improve application and infrastructure availability, reduce preventable downtime, and keep production environments stable under normal and peak conditions.
- Automate infrastructure and application delivery to reduce manual intervention and increase repeatability.
- Improve scalability, operational resilience, observability, and recovery readiness across platforms and environments.
- Establish workflows, handoffs, and technical guardrails that connect development and operations teams.
- Embed secure configuration, operational controls, and disciplined change management into engineering workflows.
- Provide dependable infrastructure foundations, standardized deployment pathways, and operational support for development teams.
Platform and Delivery Operations
- Lead deployment, health monitoring, and lifecycle management of OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms.
- Manage Linux and Windows environments, including server troubleshooting, kernel tuning, and automated provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
- Manage OpenShift, Azure, and AWS infrastructure and optimize resource use and high availability across zones.
- Develop CI/CD optimization plans using caching, parallel execution, and multi-stage builds.
- Implement GitOps and zero-downtime Blue/Green or Canary deployment strategies.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, dependency conflicts, and webhook integrations across Git, Jira, and Azure.
Reliability and Observability
- Respond to application slowness by isolating root causes across disk I/O limits, CPU throttling, and network latency.
- Establish observability using Dynatrace and Datadog and build custom Grafana and Kibana dashboards.
- Use incidents, recurring issues, and delivery bottlenecks to drive durable tooling, process, and architecture improvements.
- Shape engineering standards and make pragmatic trade-offs among speed, stability, security, and scale.
Requirements
- Senior-level experience operating and building reliable infrastructure and enterprise application delivery mechanisms.
- Experience managing OpenShift and Kubernetes container orchestration platforms.
- Experience administering mixed Linux and Windows environments, including server troubleshooting and kernel tuning.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience managing public or hybrid cloud infrastructure across OpenShift, Azure, and AWS.
- Experience optimizing CI/CD pipelines and implementing GitOps delivery practices.
- Experience with zero-downtime Blue/Green or Canary release strategies.
- Experience troubleshooting delivery pipelines, dependency conflicts, webhooks, and production performance issues.
- Experience implementing observability with APM tools and Grafana or Kibana dashboards.
