Deliver OSP design knowledge, expertise, and quality assurance capabilities.
Carry out required design activities for all OSP aspects, including civil and fiber works.
Job Responsibilities
- Review and examine site survey reports for civil and fiber infrastructure to validate document accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to confirm survey results, address discrepancies, and update inventory data.
- Develop civil and fiber-optic network designs using survey data, technical specifications, and engineering guidelines.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings in QGIS/ArcGIS or similar applications, layout plans, and documentation for civil and fiber installation projects.
- Ensure designs comply with local and national codes and adhere to industry best practices.
- Generate and review the Bill of Quantities for civil and fiber designs.
- Ensure the BOQ includes all required materials, labor, and equipment to reflect project scope.
- Maintain clear documentation of design changes, survey validations, and updates for future reference and audits.
- Ensure all designs, drawings, and documentation are submitted within specified timelines.
- Mark up As-Built redline drawings to capture deviations or adjustments made during construction.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 7 years of telecommunications experience.
- At least 5 years in a design and engineering position in a specialized field within a telecom organization.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- Must know OSP work, related processes, and industry best practices.
- Working knowledge of market-leading OSP design tools such as GIS or similar and AutoCAD.
- Excellent knowledge of the English language.
- Must have international experience from developed markets.
