Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Denodo virtualization layers and reusable views, associations, data services, and semantic/business views.
• Virtualize EDWs, relational databases, data lakes, banking applications, operational systems, and APIs; build efficient banking data models.
• Translate requirements into scalable solutions and optimize queries, joins, aggregations, caching, and data source configurations.
• Implement security, access control, masking, and governance; support logical and semantic models and data access services.
• Troubleshoot data quality, connectivity, integration, and performance issues; support BusinessObjects and other analytics integrations.
• Maintain data mappings, virtual models, and solution designs; collaborate with governance and data management teams.
• Participate in testing, deployment, performance tuning, production support, and Informatica interoperability.

Denodo and banking requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on Denodo Data Virtualization experience and strong understanding of Denodo architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Base Views, Derived Views, Associations, Data Services, Cached Views, and Semantic/Business Views.
• Experience with Denodo query optimization, performance tuning, heterogeneous data integration, and understanding of virtualization versus ETL/ELT.
• Strong hands-on banking data modeling experience, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
• Banking domains include customer/party, accounts, deposits, loans, credit cards, transactions, payments, general ledger/finance, and risk.

Data management and technical skills

• Strong understanding of EDW, BI, big data and data lakes, integration, governance, data quality, MDM, metadata, lineage, architecture, and virtualization.
• Hands-on BusinessObjects BI experience; understand universes, semantic layers, reports, and queries.
• Strong SQL development and performance-tuning skills; knowledge of REST APIs and data services.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or other enterprise databases is listed.
• Hadoop, Spark, or similar platforms and cloud data platforms are advantageous.

Education and preferred qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Enterprise banking data warehouse experience is highly desirable; banking or financial services experience is highly preferred.
• Informatica PowerCenter, IDQ, EDC, governance, metadata management, or other Informatica experience is highly desirable.
• Denodo, Informatica, Data Management, or related professional certifications are advantageous.
