About the Role

A UI/UX Specialist with deep design-systems experience will own a bank’s design system across its digital channels.

The role focuses on consistent, accessible, and scalable customer experiences.

The position is with a CodeNinja client; the candidate will be hired by CodeNinja on a contract basis and assigned to the client project for its stated duration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve the design system across digital channels; create reusable components, patterns, and guidelines.
  • Manage design tokens such as typography, colors, spacing, and iconography, and ensure components meet accessibility, usability, and responsive-design needs.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and product teams; maintain Figma libraries and document component usage, behavior, and interaction states.
  • Govern component contributions, reviews, approvals, versioning, and retirement; audit products and help teams adopt approved components.
  • Provide training and onboarding, track adoption and consistency, and align design standards with brand identity and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Excellent spoken Arabic is mandatory; excellent English is also required.
  • Strong, in-depth hands-on experience building and maintaining design systems; advanced Figma skills including component libraries, variants, and design tokens.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards such as WCAG, usability principles, and responsive design.
  • Experience partnering with developers on scalable, production-ready components and governing design standards across products or teams.
  • Banking or financial services experience is a plus.
  • Able to work onsite in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
