About the role

Join Qatar Airways’ Flight Operations – Operational Strategy & Innovation team as a Senior Data Science Analyst based in Doha, Qatar.

Apply advanced analytics to improve Flight Operations and Technical Operations (CAMO), delivering insights and strategic recommendations to management and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Apply data science, statistics, machine learning, and optimization to strengthen Flight Operations and Technical Operations analytics.
  • Build business understanding in on-time performance, flight schedules, predictive maintenance, and operational costs.
  • Deliver complex analyses with Flight Operations and Technical Operations teams, translating operational problems into solutions.
  • Lead data analysis to identify trends and patterns, produce operational insights and predictions, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop and deploy machine-learning and optimization models.
  • Prototype machine-learning and optimization decision-support tools for business evaluation.
  • Use emerging tools, open-source frameworks, and cloud technologies, including Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and Databricks, to create predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions.
  • Skywise platform familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, operations research, or artificial intelligence.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a data science role.
  • Experience applying statistics, advanced analytical methods, and operations research to business problems.
  • Excellent presentation skills and data visualization experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, R, and SQL for data preparation, querying, and machine-learning model development.
  • Hands-on experience with Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras.
  • Experience with optimization tools such as Cplex, Gurobi, or Google OR-Tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Qlik, Power BI, or Tableau.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work professionally with diverse partners, senior managers, and subject-matter experts.
  • Skywise experience and cloud-platform Data Science or machine-learning certification are considered assets.
