Cost Control Engineer role for EPC projects in the oil and gas sector.
Monitors, analyzes, and controls project costs to help deliver projects within approved budgets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor project budgets, actual expenditures, commitments, and forecast costs.
- Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost performance analyses.
- Identify cost variances, risks, and potential budget overruns.
- Track engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractor costs.
- Prepare cost estimates, budget revisions, and project cost forecasts.
- Coordinate with project managers and planning, procurement, and finance teams.
- Support change order management, cost claims, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with cost control procedures and EPC contractual requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of cost control experience; EPC Oil & Gas experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and cost control/reporting tools.
- Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, cost variance analysis, and project financial controls.
Pay
- QAR 10,000–25,000 per month.
