Role Objective

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and Execute KAQA Readiness Projects
• Lead and manage institutional excellence projects across all phases—from planning and assessment to implementation and submission—ensuring delivery within defined timelines and quality standards.
• Assess Current State and Organizational Maturity
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing organizational practices and evaluate maturity levels using recognized excellence models, including document reviews, stakeholder interviews, and performance analysis.
• Develop Gap Analysis Reports and Identify Improvement Opportunities
• Prepare detailed gap analysis reports comparing current practices against excellence criteria, identifying strengths and prioritizing improvement opportunities based on impact.
• Design Institutional Excellence Roadmaps and Improvement Plans
• Develop integrated roadmaps outlining improvement initiatives, development programs, timelines, execution mechanisms, and monitoring approaches to enhance readiness for award participation.
• Oversee Implementation of Improvement Initiatives
• Monitor and supervise the execution of improvement initiatives in coordination with relevant departments, ensuring adherence to the approved roadmap and achievement of defined KPIs.
• Supervise Preparation of Award Submission Files
• Lead the development and writing of the award submission document in line with approved frameworks, ensuring high-quality content that effectively links practices with evidence and results.
• Lead Self-Assessment and Mock Assessment Activities
• Plan and conduct self-assessments and mock assessments using recognized methodologies, including file reviews, interviews, and identification of improvement actions.
• Deliver Training and Workshops in Institutional Excellence
• Design and deliver specialized training programs and workshops to build organizational capabilities in excellence practices, including self-assessment, benchmarking, and performance management.
• Promote a Culture of Quality and Excellence
• Drive awareness initiatives and internal communication efforts to embed a culture of quality, excellence, and continuous improvement across the organization.
• Manage Stakeholder and Executive Relationships
• Engage with executive leadership and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and provide advisory support for informed decision-making.
• Ensure Compliance with National Excellence Model Requirements
• Review all project deliverables to ensure full alignment with excellence model requirements and readiness to achieve advanced results in final assessments.

Qualifications And Experience

• Certified Assessor in the King Abdulaziz Quality Award (KAQA)
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in institutional excellence and quality
• Proven track record of delivering at least two (KAQA) excellence readiness projects within Saudi Arabia
• Hands-on experience with excellence models such as EFQM and national excellence frameworks
• Experience in developing award submission documents
• Strong knowledge of the RADAR methodology and institutional assessment frameworks
• Expertise in organizational performance analysis and KPI development
• Strong reporting and executive presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage consulting projects

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD or Master in (e.g., Business Administration, Quality & Excellence, Strategic Management, Engineering or a relevant field)
• Experience working with government or semi-government entities in KSA
• Participation in projects that achieved excellence awards or high assessment scores
• Professional certifications in quality and excellence (e.g., ISO, EFQM, IRCA, CBAP, PMP)
