Senior Civil Engineer

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage civil construction activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project disciplines to support smooth execution.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical documents before and during construction.
• Monitor site progress, productivity, manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Ensure civil works meet approved quality standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, MEP, and other disciplines to resolve technical and site issues.
• Identify construction problems and provide appropriate technical solutions.
• Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure compliance with project HSE requirements and UAE regulations.
• Assist with construction planning and maintaining project schedules.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure approved construction methodologies are implemented.
• Prepare progress reports and technical updates for project management.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is mandatory.
• Proven experience on mega or large-scale construction projects in the UAE.
• Strong experience in major building, infrastructure, high-rise, hospitality, residential, or other complex construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, engineering standards, quality requirements, and site execution.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Candidates currently based in the UAE are strongly preferred.
• Immediate or short-term availability is an advantage.
