Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports (RDL), and scorecards aligned with KPIs
• Translate business requirements into clear, user-friendly visualizations
• Build reusable DAX measures and optimize report performance
• Design and manage semantic data models (star/snowflake) as a main source of truth
• Implement data governance, RLS, and workspace best practices
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure BI-ready data (Gold layer)
• Publish certified datasets and enable self-service analytics
• Conduct data analysis and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and proper documentation
• Engage with business users, provide training, and support data-driven decision-making

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Intelligence, or a related discipline.
• 5-7+ years of hands-on experience in data visualization, business intelligence development, or a closely related field.

Must Have

• **Microsoft Power BI or Fabric certification such as Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)**
• Demonstrated hands-on experience building production-grade Power BI dashboards, paginated reports, and semantic models for enterprise audiences.
• Advanced proficiency in DAX including complex calculated measures, calculation groups, time-intelligence patterns, and performance optimization techniques.
• Proven experience designing and implementing star schema and dimensional data models optimized for Power BI performance and usability.
• **Hands-on experience with row-level security (RLS), object-level security (OLS), and deployment pipelines (Dev/Test/Prod) in Power BI.**
• Experience building and managing shared certified datasets and dataflows (Gen2) in Microsoft Fabric or Power BI service to support governed self-service analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Warehouse, Semantic Models, Dataflows Gen2) as the underlying data platform for Power BI.
• Strong SQL proficiency for querying, transforming, and validating data from relational databases, data warehouses, and lakehouse environments.
• Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into reporting solutions, and present findings in a clear and accessible manner.
• Experience applying Power BI governance standards including workspace structure, endorsement (certified/promoted), naming conventions, and sensitivity labeling.
