Senior Business Analyst / Procurement Writer supporting public-sector procurement initiatives.
The role is based in Toronto, Ontario, with an onsite work arrangement five days a week.
The stated duration is 10 months.
Responsibilities
- Develop, review, and refine RFB/RFP packages and related procurement documentation.
- Gather stakeholder feedback and facilitate development of business requirements, scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Ensure documents follow OPS standards, policies, and best practices; identify procurement risks and recommend mitigation.
- Prepare briefing and evaluation materials and draft contract agreements; advise on procurement strategy, markets, vendors, and contract requirements.
- Facilitate reviews, approvals, and consensus-building; support contract awards and vendor onboarding.
- Coach client teams and provide knowledge transfer throughout the procurement process.
Must-have qualifications
- Strong knowledge of public-sector procurement, particularly Ontario Public Service procurement.
- Experience preparing and reviewing RFB/RFP documents, Statements of Work, business requirements, and contract documentation.
- Advanced writing and communication skills, including simplifying complex technical and legal information.
- Understanding of contract law, terms, and conditions.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Experience gathering information from subject matter experts and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to identify procurement risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Strong collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills, including updates to senior management.
