Location and arrangement

Responsibilities

  • Assess the existing legal case management system and related SharePoint, document management, financial, and reporting integrations.
  • Document current processes, workflows, governance, security, records management, and reporting.
  • Consult business and technical stakeholders through interviews, workshops, surveys, and consultations.
  • Gather, validate, prioritize, and document business, functional, technical, data, security, reporting, and integration requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis and evaluate cloud, COTS/SaaS, consolidation, integration, and interoperability options.
  • Investigate data migration needs and identify system and process gaps, risks, constraints, inefficiencies, and technical limitations.
  • Develop cost and effort estimates, timelines, risks, dependencies, and implementation considerations.
  • Recommend future-state architecture, solution capabilities, implementation approaches, and modernization roadmaps.
  • Prepare a business case with cost-benefit analysis, risk assessment, and high-level implementation roadmap.
  • Present recommendations and business case outcomes to sponsors and stakeholders and incorporate review feedback.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of business analyst experience, including requirements, process modeling, fit-gap and options analysis, business cases, and functional specifications.
  • Experience supporting legacy system replacement in case management modernization or transformation.
  • Experience with enterprise digital modernization, technology assessment, cost-benefit analysis, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Experience explaining total cost of ownership, implementation timelines, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience managing scope creep and timeline slippage in complex modernization assessments.
  • Experience presenting to senior management, governance committees, and executive stakeholders.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in IT, business analysis, or a related field.
