Role overview

Business analysis and requirements

• Elicit, analyse, and document requirements through workshops, interviews, and process modelling.
• Analyse processes and systems end to end to identify challenges, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Assess solution options and translate business needs into user stories, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.

Stakeholder engagement and delivery

• Partner with business teams and senior stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and support decisions where priorities overlap.
• Align with technology, architecture, and delivery colleagues on requirements and solution design; communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support solution design, development, and configuration; define test approaches, support user acceptance testing, and resolve defects.
• Support implementation, readiness, training, adoption, and benefits tracking.

Team contribution

• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting, and management information.
• Improve analysis standards, templates, requirements management, documentation, and traceability; support junior analysts and continuous improvement.

Must-haves

• Experience in a business analysis role within the insurance industry.
• End-to-end analysis experience across business processes and multiple systems.
• Proven requirements elicitation, documentation, and management across the project lifecycle using Agile and/or waterfall approaches.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including investigation of complex issues and root-cause identification.
• Data skills, including interrogating and interpreting data.
