Senior Business Analyst

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• **Requirement Gathering**: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of project objectives.
• **Analysis & Documentation**: Analyze complex business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Document requirements in the form of business cases, user stories, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
• **Stakeholder Management**: Serve as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and management, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• **Solution Design**: Work with development teams to design and recommend solutions that align with business needs, ensuring both technical and business feasibility.
• **Testing & Validation**: Assist in developing test cases and plans to validate that solutions meet the business requirements. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure successful implementation.
• **Process Improvement**: Analyze current business processes and workflows, recommending process improvements and new systems where necessary to improve efficiency.
• **Project Support**: Support project managers in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring that project goals are achieved on time and within budget.
• **Change Management**: Help manage change processes, ensuring stakeholders are informed and prepared for changes to systems, processes, or organizational structures.
• **Post-Implementation Support**: Provide post-implementation support by troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth transition and adoption of new systems or processes.

• **Documentation**: Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and detailed documentation such as business cases, process flows, functional requirements, and user stories.
• **Data Analysis**: Competence in analyzing data, identifying trends, and making data-driven recommendations using tools such as Excel, SQL, or data visualization software.
• **Technical Understanding**: Basic knowledge of IT systems and development processes to effectively communicate with technical teams and understand system limitations.
• **Project Management**: Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile or Waterfall, and the ability to manage small projects or contribute to larger project efforts.
• **Software Tools**: Experience with business analysis tools and software, such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Visio, or similar tools for tracking and documenting business requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of business process modelling, requirements gathering, and documentation techniques.
• Experience working with stakeholders from various departments (IT, operations, finance, etc.).
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall project management methodologies.
• **Prior Software development experience will an added advantage.**

Preferred Experiences

• Experience in E-Service Implementations in preferred.
• Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), or Agile Business Analyst are preferred.
• Experience in data analysis or working with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Knowledge of SQL or other data querying languages is a plus.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position with occasional remote work opportunities.(under conract)
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams in an Agile or Waterfall environment.
• May require occasional travel to meet with stakeholders or support projects at different locations
