Role overview

Duties

• Evaluate budgetary operations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Reconcile grant allocation line items monthly against OAKS cash and retrieve requested historical reports.
• Prepare periodic financial reports, status updates, and analysis papers.
• Serve as the agency contact for awarded grant budget issues, including the Travel and Expense module.
• Design and maintain spreadsheets and manage contingency accounts.
• Monitor expenditures, project costs and revenues, and help prevent deficits.
• Research and analyze funding to formulate annual and biennial operating budgets; analyze trends and adjust allocations.
• Process grants-section budget transactions and provide backup support for HCM position management.
• Manage Overtime Grant records and reimbursement documentation for Task Force Officers.
• Prepare invoices, post reimbursement data and revenue, follow up on outstanding revenue, and support FBI task-force invoice processing.
• Manage other assigned grants.

Qualifications

• Requires thorough knowledge of governmental budgeting, public finance, public or business administration, quantitative/statistical analysis, and forecasting, plus applicable software skills.
• Qualifying paths include 4 years of relevant budgeting experience; specified undergraduate or graduate education plus 24 or 12 months of relevant experience; 12 months as Budget Analyst 63261; or equivalent minimum qualifications.
