Senior BIM Electrical Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed 3D BIM models for power distribution, lighting, low current, fire alarm, CCTV, public address, and data networks.
• Lead coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams; conduct clash detection and drive resolution.
• Produce and review coordinated shop drawings, as-built models, and quantity take-offs from models.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, SEC standards, the Saudi Building Code, and relevant international standards.
• Implement and maintain the BIM Execution Plan and electrical discipline model standards.
• Review contractor and subcontractor submittals and models for accuracy and constructability.
• Support site teams with model-based solutions, RFIs, and design changes.
• Mentor junior BIM engineers and modelers and set team quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Eight to ten years of electrical design and BIM experience, including at least three to five years in a senior or lead role.
• Experience in entertainment venues, malls, theme parks, hospitality, or other large-scale building projects; Gulf or international experience preferred.
• Expert command of Revit MEP and Navisworks; AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 and BIM coordination workflows; BIM 360 or ACC experience is a plus.
• Understanding of lighting design tools such as DIALux, load calculations, and cable sizing.
• Familiarity with IEC, NFPA, and SEC standards.
• Excellent English communication; Arabic and previous Saudi Arabia experience are advantages.
• Comfort working on site and living abroad.
