About the Role
Parsons Corporation seeks a Senior BIM/CAD Technician in Dubai to create, modify, and manage infrastructure design drawings and models. - Work closely with CAD/BIM manager and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with policies and processes
- Coordinate with different CAD teams, ensuring design inputs and clashes are notified and deadlines met
- Develop engineering drawings from rough sketches and general engineering information according to standards
- Manage all BIM related activities from project start up to project completion
- Review drawings for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards per QA/QC process
- Create parametric and non parametric families
- Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model
- Ensure proper documentation of design changes, drawing revisions, and project updates
- Manage digital archiving of completed project drawings and related documents
- Maintain effective communication with Team Leads, engineers, and other departments
- Implement quality control processes to catch errors early
- Customize CAD software and tools to optimize productivity
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of MEA/UAE CAD drafting and BIM experience in Wet and Dry utilities projects with 3+ years of Utility Pipe Network Modelling
- Software experience in AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Navisworks
- Advanced knowledge of Common Data Environment (CDE) usage and management for model production Autodesk Forma and Bentley ProjectWise
- Strong knowledge in LOD requirements
- Good knowledge in DEWA / DM / RTA standards and existing utilities management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Job Description
- Parsons is looking for a Senior BIM/CAD Technician to join the team in Dubai.
- This role involves CAD/BIM professional work in creation, modification, and management of infrastructure design drawings and models.
- Focus on model preparation, clash rendition and resolution, supporting various stages of submissions.
What You'll Be Doing
- Work closely with CAD/BIM manager and Design Leads to ensure project compliance.
- Coordinate with different CAD teams, ensuring design inputs and clashes are notified.
- Develop engineering drawings from rough sketches and general engineering information.
- Understand BIM modeling process and manage all BIM related activities.
- Review drawings for readability, presentation, and adherence to standards.
- Create parametric and non parametric families.

- Manage digital archiving of completed project drawings.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

- Understanding of ROW related and cross sections / Routing plan preparation.
- Capability to identify issues and find solutions during design and review process.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
