About the Role

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong experience with Python using FastAPI and/or Django.
• Expertise in REST API design and implementation.
• Strong database knowledge covering MySQL, PostgreSQL, and exposure to NoSQL or analytical stores.
• Hands-on AWS and cloud architecture experience.
• Experience building and operating scalable distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of system design, performance, and reliability.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python backend services.
• Build robust REST APIs with strong performance, security, and scalability.
• Design and optimize data models and queries across SQL and NoSQL systems.
• Architect and implement scalable distributed systems.
• Leverage AWS services and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Maintain code quality, testing, and documentation standards.
• Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Frontend, Data, and GTM teams.
• Support production systems and operational excellence.

Product and Backend Skills

• Nice-to-have experience includes Java, event streaming, messaging, Terraform, Docker, GitHub Actions, and observability tools.
• Additional experience may include CRM and email integrations, distributed systems patterns, and production support or on-call rotations.

Platform and Infrastructure Skills

• Nice-to-have experience includes Kubernetes, container orchestration, testing platforms, data pipelines, Spark, Hive, Flink, and Airflow.
• Additional experience may include AI or LLM systems, secure data lifecycle, GDPR, privacy, and testing with Pytest, Playwright, or Jest.
