Senior Backend Developer (Go)

Role Overview

Accountabilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services prioritizing performance, reliability, maintainability, and security.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini CLI to improve productivity and code quality.
• Translate business requirements into precise technical specifications and actionable tasks.
• Review and validate pull requests from human developers and AI agents.
• Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, and stakeholders on business-critical functionality.
• Promote test-driven development and integrate testing into CI/CD workflows.
• Design and optimize database schemas and data access patterns across relational, key-value, and time-series databases.
• Apply secure coding practices and ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements.
• Monitor and optimize latency, throughput, scalability, and resource utilization.
• Contribute to distributed system architecture and reliability under high data volumes.
• Mentor other developers and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 10+ years of backend software development experience including system architecture and technical design.
• Strong proficiency in Go; experience with Rust is a plus.
• Experience optimizing high-throughput, low-latency systems and diagnosing performance bottlenecks.
• Strong knowledge of database schema design, query optimization, and data storage and retrieval.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, scalability, and high-volume data processing.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools and agentic coding workflows.
• Practical experience with test-driven development, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of application security principles including OWASP, secure coding, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, containers, Kubernetes, and service meshes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with sound architectural decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
