Senior iOS Developer (Swift)

Role overview

Accountabilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance native iOS applications using Swift; build interfaces using SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
• Maintain application architecture, performance, stability, code quality, and reliability.
• Design and implement accessibility features, including VoiceOver support, iOS Accessibility APIs, and SwiftUI Accessibility capabilities.
• Implement Dynamic Type, scalable font sizes, accessibility labels, traits, values, actions, and focus management.
• Test accessibility, investigate defects and usability barriers, and validate work against WCAG 2.1 and 2.2.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to troubleshoot and deliver accessible, maintainable, user-centered mobile solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional native iOS application development experience.
• Strong Swift expertise and understanding of native iOS development principles.
• Commercial experience developing and maintaining applications using SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
• Extensive hands-on native iOS accessibility experience, including VoiceOver, accessibility APIs, Dynamic Type, accessibility attributes, and focus management.
• Ability to test accessibility, identify usability barriers, and implement technical solutions.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards is required; WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 are ideally included.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and collaborate with distributed international teams; good written and verbal English.
• Proactive, quality-focused, and able to work independently in a remote development environment.
