Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop REST and GraphQL APIs and microservices using Python frameworks or Node.js frameworks.
- Build video-metadata processing and event-driven systems.
- Design and optimize database schemas across relational and NoSQL stores, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, and Redis.
- Implement message-broker-based pipelines using Kafka or RabbitMQ and authentication and security using JWT and OAuth.
- Optimize API performance; design and maintain CI/CD pipelines; containerize with Docker and orchestrate with Kubernetes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5–9 years of professional software engineering experience focused on API development.
- Proficiency in Python and Node.js, with frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Express.js.
- Extensive knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases and API security best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms and a strong background in CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
