Legal advisory and governance
- Assist with group legal strategy in alignment with UAE laws, ADGM/DIFC regulations, and relevant GCC legal frameworks.
- Support governance frameworks and compliance protocols, including development, implementation, and periodic review.
- Prepare legal memoranda and board materials as needed.
Contracts and transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate development, construction, leasehold, facilities-management, and consultancy contracts.
- Conduct legal due diligence and assist with corporate transactions, joint ventures, and REIT-related structuring.
- Maintain contract templates and improve internal contract-management processes.
Compliance, disputes, and collaboration
- Support legal review of real estate ownership, registration, and land matters across UAE mainland and free zones.
- Assist with disputes, litigation, and arbitration alongside external counsel; prepare briefs, case summaries, and internal updates.
- Track legal claims and support risk mitigation.
- Collaborate with development, asset management, finance, and ESG teams; provide internal training on compliance, contracts, and risk awareness.
Legal operations and investments
- Support external counsel relationships, including budgeting, engagement terms, and deliverable tracking.
- Contribute to process automation and legal technology adoption.
- Support the General Counsel in M&A, real estate investments, partnerships, and financing transactions, including post-transaction implementation and documentation.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); a master’s or postgraduate degree is preferred.
- Admitted to practice law in a recognized jurisdiction; UAE legal experience is preferred.
- 6–8 years of post-qualification legal experience, with a strong background in corporate/commercial law, real estate, regulatory, and transactional matters.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus.
Experience and competencies
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills; sound understanding of the UAE legal and regulatory landscape.
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize effectively, work independently under pressure, and contribute as a team member.
- High integrity and professional ethics; proactive, detail-oriented, commercially minded, and a strong communicator.
