Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build complex process models with subprocesses, parallel flows, escalations, timers, exception handling, and multi-level approvals.
• Implement case management for banking operations such as account opening, credit approvals, disputes, KYC refresh, and complaints.
• Model business rules and decisions with expression rules and decision tables.
• Design task routing, SLAs, delegation, and maker-checker controls aligned with segregation-of-duties policies.
• Optimize memory usage, process archiving, node counts, activity chaining, and smart-service choices.
• Implement audit trails and process history required for compliance and internal audit.
• Write rule test cases and support QA and UAT defect resolution.
• Review peers' process designs and mentor mid-level developers.

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of total experience, including 6+ years of hands-on Appian development.
• Appian Certified Senior Developer certification is mandatory.
• Expertise in Appian process modeling, process variables, smart services, and process reports.
• Strong expression rule, query, and CDT/record type design skills.
• Experience with Appian Process HQ, process mining, or workflow analytics.
• Solid SQL skills and understanding of transaction and concurrency handling.
• Understanding of BPMN and banking operational workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Appian Certified Lead Developer certification, Appian RPA, document generation and e-signature integrations, and legacy workflow migration experience are nice to have.
• Immediate availability or a one-month notice period is preferred.
