About the role

Affirm is hiring multiple Senior Analysts across its Risk & Analytics organization through one posting.

Candidates complete a shared interview process; team placement depends on interests, experience, strengths, and business needs.

Analysts own complex analytical problems end to end, translate data into business strategy, and influence technical and non-technical teams.

Potential team placements

Point of Sale: optimize merchant and checkout performance, conversion, approvals, and unit economics.

Direct to Consumer and Card: drive engagement, repeat usage, and lifecycle health across app, web, and card experiences.

Fraud: reduce fraud losses while maintaining a frictionless customer experience.

Core Analytics: build quantitative research, performance monitoring, and scalable data foundations.

Servicing: analyze repayment behavior, collections strategies, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

International Expansion: build measurement and decision foundations for launching and scaling in global markets.

What you will do

  • Develop and optimize business, risk, or growth strategies using advanced analytics across products and geographies.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and macroeconomic trends and adjust strategies to mitigate risk and balance growth.
  • Partner with Engineering and Machine Learning teams on metrics for scalable risk, fraud, or growth models.
  • Translate evolving regulatory and market requirements into analytical policy and product recommendations.
  • Oversee analytical frameworks and align launches and market entries with risk appetite, operational capabilities, and local regulations.
  • Engage external stakeholders, including merchants and vendors, on strategic matters.
  • Own work from the initial analytical question through the final business decision.

Candidate profile

  • Exceptional analytical rigor and deep domain expertise.
  • Able to translate complex regulatory, economic, and machine-learning insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and balancing growth with resilience.
  • Able to influence stakeholders and work at strategic and execution levels.
