Security operations
- Monitor, analyze, investigate, and document security alerts from logs and security tools.
- Manage and respond to incidents under established procedures; deploy and manage information security controls.
- Monitor third-party threat intelligence sources for vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat actors; produce reports for security planning.
- Analyze incident trends, identify systemic operational risks, and conduct risk assessments while maintaining the risk register.
- Support remediation of audit findings and control deficiencies; collect and analyze data for security dashboards.
- Participate in information security governance, advise departments on cybersecurity risks, and collaborate to resolve complex security problems.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant cybersecurity or security operations experience.
- Experience managing or deploying IT infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies.
- Strong technical knowledge of SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, content filtering, threat intelligence, SOAR, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
- Familiarity with EDR, DLP, and other enterprise security technologies.
- Strong incident investigation, risk assessment, and written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
