Role overview

Kavak UAE is expanding its used-car platform and adjacent services into new markets.

The Senior Analyst is the CFO’s planning, modelling, and decision-support partner, owning financial models and presenting recommendations to the GM and Group CFO.

The employer seeks an analytical, commercially minded modeller who can build, stress-test, and explain models.

Financial planning and modelling

  • Build and own the business plan, annual budget, and rolling forecast, including integrated three-statement models.
  • Model driver-based unit economics such as price, margin per car, days to sell, inventory financing, and customer acquisition cost.
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis.
  • Maintain model integrity with documented assumptions, version control, checks, and clear inputs, calculations, and outputs; review and challenge others’ models.

Feasibility, analysis, and reporting

  • Evaluate feasibility, investment cases, and commercial viability for new verticals and markets, including market sizing, funding needs, payback, and IRR.
  • Provide input into go-to-market plans.
  • Analyze performance against plan, identify variance drivers, and provide quantified recommendations with owners and timelines.
  • Build finance reports and dashboards tracking financial and operational performance, using SQL to extract data from source systems and databases.

Stakeholders and process improvement

  • Prepare materials for the board, GM, and Group CFO and present analysis to senior stakeholders.
  • Lead process improvement and workflow automation, including AI-assisted analysis and reporting.
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning with Sales, Operations, Legal, and external partners.

Experience and qualifications

  • 5–7 years in FP&A, business planning, strategy, consulting, corporate finance, or performance management; consulting, investment banking, or strategy experience is welcome.
  • Expert Excel and financial modelling, including building models from scratch with dynamic formulas, data tables, scenario switches, and error checks.
  • Working knowledge of Google Sheets.
  • Advanced SQL data extraction and analysis; Postgres or BigQuery is an advantage.
  • Experience with a BI tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Strong presentation skills in PowerPoint or Google Slides and ability to turn numbers into recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to influence and challenge commercial teams using data.
  • Grounding in P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, working capital, and inventory economics.
  • Self-driven and organized, able to work independently with minimal supervision and flex hours during peak periods.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering, Data/Information Systems, or another quantitative field.

Nice to have

  • Automotive, marketplace, e-commerce, lending, or other financial services experience.
  • Python or another data tool; interest in AI and automation, including Google Apps Script and workflow automation.
  • Professional qualification or MBA, such as CFA, CA, CMA, or ACCA.
  • GCC market and multi-currency modelling experience.
  • Experience leading or mentoring analysts.
