Senior Analyst - Data Engineering

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and services; build user interfaces for applications and data products.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and collaborate with data and platform teams on integrations with platforms such as Snowflake.
• Build internal tools and APIs for AI initiatives; participate in code reviews and resolve application defects.
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests; support CI/CD and deployment processes.
• Document technical designs, application architecture, and code; meet security, performance, and data governance standards.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into technical solutions and stay current with relevant development practices.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more modern languages such as Python, Java, or C#; experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and using relational databases.
• SQL and cloud data platform experience such as Snowflake; familiarity with Git and collaborative development.
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing; knowledge of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Debugging and problem-solving ability, application security and secure coding knowledge, communication skills, and ability to manage work to deadlines.
• Experience with agile development methods.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience integrating applications with AI/ML platforms or agents such as Cortex AI Agents.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; Docker or Kubernetes; or React or Angular.
• Experience in financial services or a similarly regulated industry.
