Senior Analyst - Data Analytics

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise products and analytics use cases.
• Gather business requirements; define modeling standards, naming conventions, and best practices.
• Implement models with data engineers in Snowflake and other platforms; develop semantic models for self-service analytics and Power BI.
• Review and optimize models for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Align models with governance, lineage, and traceability requirements; document with diagrams, dictionaries, and metadata.
• Partner with quality and governance teams; evolve models for new requirements and data sources.
• Guide and review model changes by data engineers and stay current with modeling methods.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years in data modeling, data architecture, or data engineering.
• Expertise in dimensional modeling, normalization, and data vault methods.
• Advanced SQL and hands-on cloud data platform experience such as Snowflake.
• Experience designing semantic models for BI tools such as Power BI; familiarity with DBT.
• Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and governance principles.
• Analytical and problem-solving ability, strong documentation and communication skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate cross-functionally.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar modeling tools.
• Familiarity with AI/ML use cases and feature engineering, financial services or regulated industries, data cataloguing, or metadata management tools.
• Relevant certifications in data modeling or data architecture.
