Responsibilities

  • Monitor, analyze, investigate, and document security alerts from logs and security tools.
  • Manage cybersecurity incidents; deploy and manage security controls across assigned technology areas.
  • Monitor threat intelligence sources and produce reports for operational and strategic security planning.
  • Analyze incident trends, identify systemic operational risks, and conduct risk assessments while maintaining the risk register.
  • Support remediation of audit findings and security control deficiencies; collect security data for dashboards.
  • Participate in governance, advise departments on security risks, and collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex problems.

Required qualifications and skills

  • Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field and at least 5 years of relevant cybersecurity or security operations experience.
  • Experience managing or deploying IT infrastructure and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, content filtering, threat intelligence, SOAR, vulnerability management, and cloud security.
  • Familiarity with EDR, DLP, and other enterprise security technologies; strong incident investigation and risk assessment capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualification

  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
