Senior AI Engineer role focused on AI/ML engineering, LLM application development, Microsoft Azure AI technologies, and enterprise project delivery.
Take AI solutions from design and development through production deployment, while managing technology vendors and system integrators.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy production-ready AI and LLM-based solutions.
- Build and integrate applications using Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform.
- Lead AI and digital projects end to end, delivering on time and within budget.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable AI solutions with stakeholders.
- Manage vendors and system integrators from RFP and evaluation through implementation and delivery.
- Ensure enterprise quality, scalability, security, and performance; support architecture, testing, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years in software engineering, data engineering, or ML/AI engineering; at least 2 years building and deploying LLM applications.
- Proven enterprise production delivery of AI solutions beyond proof-of-concept projects.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot Studio, and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Project delivery and vendor management experience, including RFP, evaluation, negotiation, implementation, and delivery.
- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, pensions, insurance, or government is highly desirable.
Preferred certifications
- Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, Azure Solutions Architect, PMP, PRINCE2, and Agile certifications are preferred.
